Drama/Acting at IRSC

Students develop a strong foundation of acting fundamentals that allow for self expression, skill and interpersonal development. Whether you’re child is interested in performing in a theatre or you are looking for a space for your young one to develop confidence and self belief — IRSCs drama classes has something for you!

Junior Drama Class

IRSC drama classes for ages 6–12 focus on building strong acting foundations through voice, movement and improvisation. Students learn to express themselves clearly and confidently in a supportive, playful environment.

Classes place an emphasis on communication skills such as vocal clarity, projection and presentation, helping students grow confidence both on stage and in everyday situations. Through whole-class activities, small group work and short performance pieces, students develop collaboration, listening and teamwork skills.

Script and scene work is drawn from fun, familiar formats including television shows, commercials and storytelling exercises, keeping learning engaging and age appropriate. Sessions are interactive and fast-paced, incorporating games, theatre sports, costumes and props to ensure learning is creative, confidence-building and fun.
